Constitutions 77 and 78 state that formation is one of the priorities of Redemptorist life. Formation is the process that introduces new members to the Congregation and which continues during one’s whole lifetime. The aim of formation is in harmony with the apostolic endeavours, priorities and mission of the Congregation and seeks to promote human and Christian maturity.
Formators “look on themselves, not so much as teachers imparting knowledge, but as servants of the truth, searching for it with patience and humility together with those committed to their care.” (Cons 83)
